Jaflong

Jaflong is a scenic spot in Sylhet district which is located near the Meghalaya border of India in Goainghat upazila. Distance from Sylhet to Jaflong is only 62 km. The clear water flow of Piyin River, the hanging Dauqi bridge, the play of white clouds on the high mountains make Jaflong unique. Depending on the season, Jaflong manifests different forms.

Jaflong River or Dawki River is a Bangladesh-India transboundary river. The river is a river in Sylhet district in northeastern Bangladesh. The length of the river is 12 km, the average width is 285 m and the nature of the river is spiral. Jaflong-Dawki river is identified by the Bangladesh Water Development Board or "PAUBO" as the River No. 30 in the North-Eastern Region.
